Chef Louie

Doug Stephan's Good Day Weekend with Chef Louie

Listen Now

Just imagine the fear struck into Chef Louie's heart as he opens his front door around 9am on Thankgiving morning, and sees about 20 or so relatives whom all decided to show up "a little early'.  No problem, especially when you learn a few of these great and easy Brunch dishes, only from the Good Day Crew!

Personal Data

Hometown:
Although born and raised in New Jersey, I live in lake Placid, Florida on our Hobby Farm.
Birthday: January 9
Sign: Capricorn
Marital Status: 32 years and counting!
Kids: Mario, 31 and Gina 29
and 2 grandkids, Ashlyn,4 and Mickey,4 months.
Pets: 2 Daschunds, 1 Bloodhound, 2 Miniature horses, about 30 cats, ducks, chickens, and the occasional 'gator in the pond.
Favorite Musical Artist: The late Frank Zappa, Gar Francis and the Doughboys
Favorite CD: All of Zappa's works, including his Orchestrational works.
Favorite Movie: I love old movies, and, I hardly ever see a newer one.  I really like the older Cary Grant films, especially "People will Talk", and I love musicals from the 30's.  I do have Four movies, though, that I must see over and over.
Gunga Din  (You're a better man than I)
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir  (Blast!)
Robin Hood  (I Love the deer for dinner scene)
Goonies ( I wish my kids were little again)
Favorite TV Shows:  Boston Legal, Bob and Ray Show (geeze I miss that), Taxi

People who don't know me are probably better off!  Seriously, people will never know how much time my wife and I put into animal welfare,
If you knew me in college- You would never recognize me now.  I've gained 100 pounds, lost about a foot of hair, otherwise, the same guy.
Worse fear:  Other than something happening to my loved ones, I have an overwelming fear of flying-I havn't been in a plane since '76.
Nickname: Louie Dee from Sicily
Favorite times outside the Kitchen: Anytime with my family.

Thanks,
Louie
