This month is the 25th Anniversary of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.   And today, Friday, October 16th, is National Mammography Day.  Starting today, and running through the weekend, hospitals and clinics all over the country are offering free or low cost breast cancer screenings.   
To find out where you can go to which is the Centers for Disease Control site, or find the local Susan G. Komen affiliate in your area.
