Chef Louie's Shrimp Scampi
Now that Christmas is upon, let's first look at some Holiday Dinners that will be had from around the world - who knows, you may want to start a new Holiday tradition! One tradition for me is to pick something easy so I'm not stuck in the kitchen the whole day, and instead, out with everyone enjoying the day!
If you look to Germany, their idea of a Christmas dinner is Potato Dumplings, Red Cabbage, a Stuffed Goose and Baked Apples for dessert. Easy to prepare, and great to eat! The UK may be a little closer to home, with their Roasted Turkey, Brussles Sproats, Dressing, Roasted Potatoes and Pudding Pie.
My choice, of course, will be of the Italian fare. Christmas eve is the big to do, with the day before Christmas a day of abstinence, that is, no meat. Out will come various fish dishes with shrimp coctail, Salted Cod, Stuffed Clams, a local, baked fish fillet, and what seems to be a favorite at my home as well as at the seafood chains, Shrimp Scampi! Here's the no fail recipe for Shrimp Scampi: (btw, this is the recipe that Red Lobster uses) Read More

After some real begging, Nick, the owner, showed me his secret, and here it is. Read More
