A Glass Slide 1,000 Feet from Ground Level Is Opening in Los Angeles

The U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles, which bills itself as "the tallest skyscraper in the West," has announced that a glass-enclosed slide will open to the public in June.

The 45-foot-long "Skyslide" will start on the 70th floor of the 72-story building and end on the 69th floor, making it 1,000 feet above the city's sidewalks.

The attraction is part of a renovation that will also feature a bar and California's tallest open-air observation deck, "Skyspace LA."
