An Environmental Defense to Peeing in the Shower
Environmental Scientists say it may be time for people to reconsider the argument for peeing in the shower. Toilets flush away more water than any other activity, with showering coming in second place. All mammals pee for an average of 21 seconds, in that time a standard shower head dispenses .875 gallons of water. That's more than a half gallon LESS than a toilet flush. Combining the two biggest water-wasters could result in savings hundreds of gallons of water per year.
