Wow, can you believe Turkey Day is only about five weeks away? If you have been holding off on buying airfares and are planning to travel that busy week, you need to get serious now, and not later.
We took a look at some four-night getaways from many markets across the USA, and there are two days that you DO NOT want to travel on. These dates are: departing on Wednesdays November 21, and returning from any trip on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Airfares departing and retuning on these dates can be as much as double the cost on some routes. If you don't believe us, check out our sample comparisons below, and know the facts Jack!
As a matter of fact, unless you are flying on a short haul (under 500 miles one-way) nonstop flight, you need to avoid Sunday, November 25, 2012, like the plague!
Here are a few days we think you will get the best bang for your buck: depart the Sunday before Thanksgiving and return the Thursday, Fridays or Saturday of that week or anytime the following week after Monday. Or if you depart Monday, November 19, and return on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday, or anytime the following week, you will qualify for cheaper airfares.
In addition, if you depart on Tuesday, November 20 and return Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, or return any day the following week; or depart on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, and return on Friday, Saturday, or anytime the following week, you will also get the Bestfares; whatever you do just avoid Sunday, November 25, 2012.
