We promised you would see lower airfares and more travel days to qualify for the cheapest airfares for late summer, fall and early winter travel; and we were correct, the cheap airfares are here!
Today we have two groups of airfares you should look at. The first sale is valid for travel starting July 24 thru December 14, 2012. You do need a 14-day advance purchase. We still think you need to be careful for travel now thru August 20, 2012. Mid-week travel may still be your best bet for this time frame, as the cheapest seats for Friday, Saturday and Sunday travel MAY already sold out due to high demand.
Your super Bestfares will begin on August 21, 2012 thru October 4, 2012. This is the travel period you will find super reduced airfares.
For travel between October 5 thru December 14, be careful on Sunday travel. However, this week may be a great time to be thinking Thanksgiving travel, because today we are finding many cheap dates during that holiday week.
Insider travel secret: If you are planning a trip on a short haul flight up to 1,000 miles or less for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years now may be a great time to look and maybe even book that gobble, gobble turkey day fare!
During the Thanksgiving period, you need to watch out during November 16, 17, 21, 24 and especially on November 23, and 26. During Christmas this year you are getting a break. Why you say, because Christmas and New Years both fall on a Tuesday, giving you more days of the week to travel for less. We suggest that you watch out for sky high airfares on December 20, 22, 26 and 28. If you are traveling over 1,000 air miles one-way cheaper dates will vary.
