Now that we are out of the peak summer travel month of July, we've got good news for travelers because we are already seeing fall fares drop and drop and drop.

U.S. fares are coming down and also prices on flights to Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Mexico are down.

There are some great prices on vacation package for fall. You can even fly over Labor Day weekend, just don't come home on that Monday and you can find deals. When checking rates, look for cheap fares and then check package rates for travel on those dates. You want to make sure the airfare is down before you start bundling because it really brings the price down.

You also want to keep checking if you aren't seeing good deals for fall. Maybe it's not there today, but that doesn't mean it won't be there tomorrow, or the next week, or the week after. Also, as I've mentioned many times before, check rates on late Tuesday or on Wednesday, when the majority of airfare sales happen.
