From Warren Eckstein - Cicadas Can Cause Problems for Pets

You may have heard them in your backyard this spring. But those singing cicadas are more than just an annoyance. Some veterinarians say they could pose a problem for your pet.
Because we're seeing more cicadas hatching this year, Dr.. Tom Millis says he's seeing more animals that are getting sick from eating them.
"Some vomiting and diarrhea is pretty much what we're seeing mostly," Millis said.
He says some dogs like the crunch and the taste of the cicadas, so they seek them out in the yard and eat too many, which can cause problems in some animals.
