Max McManus - 50 States in 50 Days
September 08 2011
Max McManus is the 47 year old owner and founder of MRI, an athletic and fitness training complex in Reno, NV. He participated in cycling events and marathons in college, until a 1985 bike crash ended it all, so he took up power lifting and bodybuilding.

Then, after three knee surgeries, a fractured arm, from being hit by a car and the encouragement of a pastor, he got back on the bicycle. Fifteen years after his crash, Max went on to complete the Idaho Ironman in June of 2010 and the Cozumel Ironman in November 2010.
In March of this year he came up with the "50 states in 50 days" 9/11 tribute ride.

THE MISSION: As a tribute to the victims and the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attack on America, Max McManus, set out to "connect" the United States by riding his bike through all 50 states in 50 consecutive days.
