Dr. Eric Haseltine - Former Head of Science and Technology for the CIA

Dr. Eric Haseltine was head of Science and Technology for the entire U.S. Intelligence community including the CIA, NSA and 14 other agencies. He served as Director of Research for the National Security Agency (NSA), Executive Vice President and head of R&D; for Walt Disney Imagineering and Director of Engineering for Hughes Aircraft Training and Support.

With a Ph.D. in physiological psychology, Haseltine specializes in applying neuroscience to business methodologies and new technologies, using the manner in which the human brain interacts with situations to improve and enhance organizational performance.

Dr. Haseltine was awarded the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal.

He has published over 100 articles in periodicals such as Brain Research, Neuroscience, Proceedings and Discover Magazine where he wrote a monthly column called "NeuroQuest", which was dedicated to exploring and popularizing new discoveries in brain research.

Haseltine holds a BA in Economics from UC Berkeley, a Ph.D. from Indiana University, and did his post-doctoral training in Neuroanatomy at Vanderbilt Medical School.

He holds 15 patents in the fields of optics, laser projection, special effect animation, and electronic media.

He currently consults both for Hollywood studios and Intelligence agencies, helping organizations in both fields identify and capture big bang opportunities.

Ken Hair joined the Water Pik, Inc. management team in December of 1999. He has 27 years of experience working as an engineer for various public and private companies; with the last 18 of those years as chief engineer for three of these firms. At Waterpik� Ken manages the development of all new products including WaterSense� compliant showerheads. Since 2007, Ken has been a member of the Joint Harmonizing Task Force (JHTF) for Water Efficient Showerheads. This group of industry, university, water municipality and state regulatory experts was sponsored by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and with cooperation of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) to create the test and evaluation criteria for WaterSense� showerheads.

Prior to joining Waterpik�, Ken worked for Adams Rite Aerospace as Director of Engineering and Quality, for the Price Pfister plumbing division of Black & Decker as Director of Engineering, for Textron and Northrup-Grumman in several engineering and program manager roles. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Clarkson University and a master's degree in engineering from California State University.

Bernie Sanders - Vermont Senator

Bernie Sanders was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006 after serving 16 years in the House of Representatives. He is the longest serving independent member of Congress in American history. Born in 1941 in Brooklyn, Bernie was the younger of two sons in a modest-income family. After graduation from the University of Chicago in 1964, he moved to Vermont. Early in his career, Sanders was director of the American People's Historical Society. Elected Mayor of Burlington by 10 votes in 1981, he served four terms. Before his 1990 election as Vermont's at-large member in Congress, Sanders lectured at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and at Hamilton College in upstate New York.

The Almanac of American Politics has called Sanders a "practical" and "successful legislator." He has focused on the shrinking middle class and widening income gap in America that is greater than at any time since the Great Depression. Other priorities include reversing global warming, universal health care, fair trade policies, supporting veterans and preserving family farms. He serves on five Senate committees: Budget; Veterans; Energy; Environment; and Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
