At a little dinky radio station, Doug and I played foreign language programs for extra cash (5-dollars an hour). The hosts of the shows would show up with $15 in hand and a tape to be played. We'd put the tapes on and go outside and Doug would polish his Pontiac GTO and I'd polish my '66 Mustang (wish I still had it). Sometimes the tapes would break and Doug and I would fill up the air time with him interviewing me as different goofy guest experts. We could really crack each other up but the owner of the station didn't think we were very funny and eventually gave us the boot. |

Quackie. She laid wonderfully rich baking eggs, every day, and chased big nasty dogs away by flapping her wings. |

I've been blessed to have spent my life doing what I love... working at the craft of radio. My early idols were Al Lohman and Roger Barkley, Gary Owens and Bob Crane (when Bob was on the radio). It's been my joy to have coached and worked with some of the most outstanding talent in the business and to have programmed some of the greatest radio stations on the planet...including: KABC, KMPC, WIND, WOWO, WCAU, WBZ, KOA and KOB. |
