A biotech mosquito is kicking up a political storm in the Florida Keys

� Oxitec Ltd. , a British maker of genetically modified insects, is extolling the virtues of a modified mosquito that they say can help kill off wild populations known to spread maladies like the Zika virus and dengue fever.
� Oxitec says their GMO bugs are nontoxic and non-allergenic for animals, and that Aedes aegypti mosquitoes aren't a native Keys species and not a major food source for animals like frogs and bats
� Residents are concerned about GM female mosquitoes being released and the impact they will have if they bite humans

Amtrak Philadelphia Crash- NTSB Report

�The National Transportation Safety Board has concluded that the engineer of an Amtrak passenger train that crashed in Philadelphia in 2015 was distracted by radio traffic
�The derailment on May 12, 2015, killed eight people and injured more than 200
�The engineer, Brandon Bostian, who suffered a concussion in the crash, told investigators he had no memory of what occurred after the train pulled out of the North Philadelphia station, just before the crash

Mississippi town ordered to desegregate schools

-Federal court ruled Cleveland, Mississippi must merge its middle and high schools
-Judge said consolidating the institutions was only way�to�end segregation
-Black parents had complained children were being discriminated against for attending mostly African American schools in east Cleveland

In addition, Madonna will be on hand to honor Prince.
