My Bar-B-Que cooking
tip is really simple. (NOTE: This tip is not recommended for gas
grills) Once the coals have settled to a nice white ember, a couple
minutes before you put your meat on, throw some big "chucks"
of green bell pepper and big chucks of onion right onto the coals.
This does two things. First, it adds a wonderful flavor to any meat
in a simple and inexpensive manner. Second, as these cook down,
they provide a wonderful aroma to the air and help eliminate that
oily smell from charcoal lighter fluid.
