OKLAHOMA BOMBING
On April 19th, 168 men, women and children lost their lives and another 800 were injured as 7-thousand pounds of explosives in 16 55-gallon containers were detonated from an underground loading zone at the Murrah Federal Building. Within a few days of the bombing, Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier were rounded up, arrested and later convicted.

TOY STORY
Big at the box office this year was a computer animated story about a handsome toy cowboy Woody, and his adventures with his futuristic buddy, Buzz Lightyear. The voices were portrayed by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. This was the first feature-length computer animated film and carried the Disney brand, but was produced by a little known studio, at the time, PIXAR.

SHERYL CROW
One night, singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow was jamming with some friends when she picked up a poem called "Fun." The poem began with the words "All I Want To Do Is Have Some Fun." It encapsulated what life was like for her in LA. She contacted the poet Wyn Cooper and got his permission to write "All I Want To Do." Her recording of the song catapulted her to SUPERSTAR status and won her the 1995 Grammys for "Record of the Year" and "Best Female Pop Vocal."

FORREST GUMP
A total of six Oscars, including "Best Picture" and one for Tom Hanks as "Best Actor," were raked in by this memorable film. Do you remember the famous special-effects scene where Forrest is in the Oval Office with JFK? Robert Zemeckis of "Back to The Future," "Romancing The Stone" and "Contact," directed this 2-hour and 20-minute epic.
