Of the people of Stark County chose their treasurer based on passion alone, Phil Davidson would win every year. Davidson is quite possibly the most passionate politician that ever existed. Unfortunately, that much passion comes off a little crazy.
Before you watch the video, try to imagine Phil Davidson's speech. It's really easy. Just picture Chris Farley as Matt Foley, the motivational speaker from SNL. Now picture Matt Foley making his case to become Stark County Treasurer.
Davidson nearly cries during his speech, he screams, he fumbles his words, and asks the republicans of Stark County to nominate him as the Stark County Treasurer. Needless to say, Davidson did not win the nomination.
He did, however, make a viral video.
Davidson is a councilman from nearby village Minevera. So as much as you may like to think that this is a joke, no, this is absolutely real.
