Hundreds of Frozen Foods Recalled At Costco, Walmart, Trader Joe's, And MoreMay-06-2016
Just when we thought the frozen food aisle at other stores was safe, the Food and Drug Administration has expanded its recall to massive retailers across the country including Trader Joe's and Walmart. This means that now hundreds of frozen foods could be contaminated with listeria. And you should check your freezer ASAP.
According to the FDA, 358 products under 42 different brands that have been shipped nationwide have been affected. CRF Frozen Foods announced that the recall applies to any and all frozen vegetables and fruits with "best by" dates between April 26, 2016 and April 26, 2018. There is a comprehensive (and very long) list-complete with brand names, package sizes, UPC codes, and best by dates-on the FDA recall announcement, so you should cross check any of your freezer items against it.
